Frame partitions (Part 1)

July 13th, 2007

Various materials can be applied to the device of frame partitions: gypsum plaster sheets, fiberboard, particle board, etc. Frame partitions with gypsum plaster sheets are most widely applied; therefore we shall consider the given constructive type of partitions on the basis of this material.
The widest circulation has been received by gypsum plaster sheets of firm “KNAUF”, and also production of Finnish firm “GIPROC”.
Wide application of frame partitions from gypsum plaster sheets is connected, first of all, with simplicity of installation and fast terms of works???????? performance. One more factor, owing to which designers prefer to pawn frame partitions in projects, relies in surprising ability to morphogenesis of gypsum cardboard. From it, partitions with broken, curvilinear forms, to create interiors with flowing spaces, to include in an interior of a column, a pilaster, etc, have been made.
Gypsum plaster frame partition consists of a profile metal skeleton (a skeleton from wooden bar is used), sheathed with gypsum plaster sheets from both parties. The skeleton on perimeter fastens to building designs and it is a bearing part for gypsum plaster sheets. At presence of requirements to thermal, sound and fireproof isolation the cavity of a partition between gypsum plaster sheets is being filled up with isolating material from mineral fibers.
