Amalgamators

April 21st, 2008

Today three kinds of amalgamators - one-lever, two-level and thermostatic ones are considered as the most popular kinds. One-level is the most simple in operation. It is enough to lift the lever to turn on water, and it is possible to adjust its temperature turn of the same lever.
From the point of view of maintenance of comfort and the savings of water and energy thermostatic amalgamators can be considered as the Optimum variant. Basically, the thermostatic amalgamator solves the same problem, as the ordinary one: it mixes hot and cold water. As well as at ordinary amalgamator, it also has two handles-regulators. Here only one of them adjusts a pressure of water, and another - temperature of water from the amalgamator. Modern thermostatic amalgamators are completed with ceramic and rod cartridges. The important property of the thermostatic amalgamator relies in its capabiliity to work in economical mode when the user himself establishes the optimum charge of water. For example, in Grotherm 3000 (Grohe), Oras Optima (Oras), Ceratherm (Ideal Standard), and also Damixa, Hansgrohe and other amalgamators there is a function of water stream restriction: the economic button or a special mark are located on the lever of the device. In amalgamators MORA two mechanisms of economy of water are used. In one case the device of the amalgamator limits a pressure of water by means of “turbo-jet” function.
