Kitchen space: lack of space at maximal coziness

September 26th, 2007

When we talk about kitchen everything should be arranged so that things occupied less places and were functional. Time and the forces should be reduced to a minimum; otherwise the kitchen will turn into the gym.
Floor cases should be established is at the identical level to maintain symmetry and to not break harmony. Instead of pendant cases it is necessary to use the open shelves in order to extend visually the space. It would be much desirable, if they would be of the same tone, as well as your kitchen????????s walls. Developing one in other stools will also take a lot of place.
False ceiling, which practically does not require leaving and visually increases space, is the most desirable variant for the kitchen.
Natural tree is the best floor covering as it keeps heat.
Do not forget about green oasis and create a special space for plants. We would recommend you the following plants: violets, fuchsia and asparagus.
Illumination also should be picked up according to general interior.
You should remember, that walls of light shades well reflect light and distribute it in regular intervals of the room.
It will be convenient, if in some corners of kitchen additional light devices will be placed in order to provide additional illumination during dark time of day.
Actually, you can think up some cunning for arranging cozy and lovely atmosphere at your kitchen. Interesting decisions can come at the most unexpected moment, therefore do not despair, if the table is not located in the certain space, and fine things are not in???? the case. The main thing is to achieve harmony and functional mobility.

Big family in the small house (Part 2)

September 18th, 2007

Problems of the standard size
When your child becomes more senior, the separate space for games and studying is required. And here beds-attics – are the ideal decision for a small-sized apartment. Similar beds can be of different height and area: the high bed will be convenient for apartments with high ceilings, the bottom level under which turns practically to a high-grade room where it is possible to establish a desk, a small case, and book shelves. As a rule, all this can be got in the complete set, ideally suitable in the sizes and design. But even if ceilings in your apartment are far from 3,5 meters, you can buy a children’s bed in height of about 1-1,2 meters, the bottom space under which is transformed into the built in case with set of branches, boxes and shelves. It will relieve you of necessity to put a special case for children’s clothes and will release a little inhabited space, necessary for children’s games.
And, at last, let????????s talk about you
Parents also require a separate corner, where they can have a rest from cares. It is possible to arrange it by means of various ways of division of a room half-and-half – curtains, sliding partitions, creating illusion of private room.
Naturally, various transformers, allowing to manage a minimum of subjects of furniture and to release space for a life, is best choice for an one-room apartment. The interesting decision relies in creation of podium in one part of the room, which will allow to divide space and simultaneously to receive an additional place for storage of things.

Furnace or fireplace?

September 17th, 2007

At all abundance of heating devices any of them does not possess so attractive force, as fire. How to choose fireplace for summer residence or country house?
FIREPLACE
Real fireplace will, certainly, decorate any country house. Besides it is capable to heat up a premise very quickly, but, as a rule, for a short while. Therefore it will not replace high-grade heating. Choosing concrete model of a fireplace, it is important to understand, what are the basic purposes of its installation.
1. You want to warm your house. Choose closed type of fireplace with fenny, and it is better, if it is intended for frequent use. Such type of fennies has a self-cleared fire-resistant glass and high EFFICIENCY (that will allow spending fire wood economically).
2. You have basically decorative purpose. Such fireplaces are also named as interior fireplaces. Of course, such fireplaces would look more effectively without glass. But don????????t forget, that open fire requires constant attention. Screens and lattices certainly protect from the “shot” piece of coal or log ineptly thrown by a children’s hand, but it is impossible to give a full guarantee. There are also other nuances. Speed of wood burning in the open fireplace is not practically adjusted, it cannot be adjusted on “slow” burning, so, if you are adjusted to support vigorous game of flame within all evening, it will be necessary for you to have solid reserves of dry fire wood.
3. Barbecue fireplace. Such fireplaces are, as a rule, opened and they are more often used for installation outside of a premise (they refer to as street fireplaces-grills). If you are going to prepare for shish kebabs in a usual fireplace, remember about forthcoming careful clearing a fenny????????s cavity.

Big family in the small house (Part 1)

September 15th, 2007

In an ideal each member of family should have his own room, personal space, where he can relax, and the place which would be arranged according to the taste of the owner. But the life brings the corrective amendments, and absence of enough of rooms is not an occasion to refuse from parental happiness. The amicable family can live even in small apartment, and the problem of parents – to try to provide convenience and comfort to all members of the family.
All best – to children
If your child is going only to be born or quite small, you hardly will feel a greater difference between one- and a two-room apartment: as a rule, parents place a children’s cradle beside with the berth even at presence of a separate nursery – it is quite easier. It is better to arrange a cot at a window so that it would be well shined: the sunlight is very important for correct development of the child. Baby also requires many subjects of furniture. Thus, occurrence of new member of family will not change your interior radically. Certainly, it is desirable to make face lifting before the occurrence of the child.
More global changes will occur in process of further development of the kid, when loving relatives and friends will fill up your apartment with extreme quantity of toys and various adaptations for the growing person – an arena, an auto armchair, a chaise lounge, a swing, bicycles, a trampoline from especially inventive grandfathers or even an electric motorcycle ??????? Plan the greatest possible quantity of places for storage in advance: wall cases, children’s bed, a sofa with the built in boxes. Plastic containers are very convenient for the toys. Try to get rid of things and toys from which your child has already grown at once: throw them out without the regret.

Glutinous ceilings

September 13th, 2007

Glutinous ceilings represent square or rectangular panels from polystyrene. The obverse surface can be covered with a film, colored as a tree, fabric or a stone.
The surface of tiles has relief, simulating a stucco moulding or woodcarving. Ceiling tiles are completed with shaped structures (ceiling eaves) and have the same color as tiles and decorative sockets.
Glutinous ceilings are more often used in rooms. They can be used at the kitchens, but if only they are laminated with protective film. They are classified as self-made goods.
Ceiling tile can be glued practically on any surface: concrete, a bricklaying, plaster and wood particle boards.
They are simply pasted on a base ceiling. Thus the surface should be preliminary cleaned (you should avoid whitewashing).
The spectrum of applied glues is very wide – from special up to universal ones. But it is better to use glue for polystyrene or special glue for ceiling coverings. In this case you will not spoil a tile, and, as a consequence, you will easily unstick it (the basis is not damaged – the tile can be pasted in other place).

Plinth

September 12th, 2007

So, plinth is the rod closing a crack between a wall and a floor. However, today any rod can be made of different materials, and possess various operational qualities. The modern plinth can be made according to the “traditional compounding” – it may be made of wood, or under the modern recipe – from plastic.
Wooden plinth
The plinth made of file of a tree and veneer is applied to frame parquet and laminate floors, the basis of a design is usually carried out from a fur-tree or pine file, which is covered with veneer from valuable breeds of a tree. Besides, manufacturing entirely from a file (an oak, ash, cherries, etc.) is also possible. Some models can be supplied with cable channel.
The wooden plinth has both advantages and disadvantages. Conclusive and most obvious advantage of a wooden plinth relies in its “noble” origin and ecological cleanliness. Durability and durability of wooden products are also very important.
As if to lacks the wooden plinth has received the greatest criticism for the high price which makes rational with only with expensive floor covering, for example, a piece parquet. Wooden plinths (keyway and massive) are simply pasted to an equal, pure and dry wall.
Plastic plinth
Plastic analogue is a strong contender to wooden plinths.
Plastic plinth is made of foam PVC and it is used for framing of the laminated, linoleum and carpet floor coverings.
Design of the majority of plastic plinths reminds wooden plinths. From the back party they are supplied by fixing channels and a niche for a wire. Plastic plinths for household linoleum often have a groove from a face sheet.
Today plastic plinth – is the irreplaceable detail of furnish, their advantage before wooden plinths are obvious. They do not require additional processing (painting), they have absolutely smooth surface, they do not require special care, and they are steady against influence of household chemical goods and are very aesthetic.

Amalgamators (Part 3)

August 29th, 2007

Equipment
Choosing the amalgamator, the special attention should be paid to one of the major details – gate valve. If it is not so much important for amalgamators with crane-axle boxes as their working capacity is defined by a degree of deterioration of a sealant (i.e. linings) at spherical amalgamators term of operation is defined by reliability and durability of the gate valve. In most cases this detail is made of metal and ceramics, steady to use and chemical influences. Much less often the design represents a hollow sphere or a disk from high-quality stainless steel. Similar amalgamators do not suffer fast deterioration of condensing linings, but they are very sensitive to the dissolved in water salts and especially – to dirt. And as adjustment of elements is very prompt, even a hit of a mote may cause malfunction.
Leaders
It is the most difficult to classify amalgamators on quality as the quantity of production, presented in the market, cannot be studied perfectly and almost every month new companies represent their production. Nevertheless, there are the manufacturers, managed to prove the superiority and to fix leadership.
Among the European companies the first place, undoubtedly, belongs to German concern HANSGROHE (Germany) and to its elite brands Axor and Pharo. The products, which have been released under these trade marks, are quite expensive, but many people have already managed to estimate their high characteristics and original design. Besides on all production HANSGROHE gives a long-term guarantee.
The Italian amalgamators on quality frequently concede to German and Finnish (ORAS), but they surpass them in design and assortment. And the disorder of the prices for them is wide. Among expensive and qualitative amalgamators it is possible to name GESSI and FIR, more accessible at the price of – SOL, FIORE, and FRISONE S.R.L.
If you all the same decide to get cheaper amalgamator of other country-manufacturer, it will not mean catastrophic decrease in quality. A number of firms, such as ELIU ?????OET (Spain), HANSA, JADO, DM (Germany), DELTA FAUCET (USA) produce sound and reliable models and give a long guarantee for their production.

Amalgamators (Part 2)

August 22nd, 2007

Valve amalgamators are a little bit cheaper than spherical, but they are not so convenient in use and require regular sealants change. But they can be repaired easily, and they are well adapted for any conditions – the rigid chlorinated water. Spherical amalgamators badly transfer firm particles and the salts, dissolved in water, and consequently quickly get broken. In order to repair them, it is necessary to replace completely not too cheap spherical module. However, it is possible to prevent fast (only 4-5 years) fail, having established filters of water treating.
Less often two mentioned above designs are used at cranes with thermostat and pressure equalizer. Two handles are located on each side of such amalgamator, one of which supervises water pressure and the second one, which has a special label, – temperature. In order to receive comfortable temperature, it is necessary to combine only a label of the handle with the necessary figure – and the desirable temperature of water is gained. However, according to experts, such “miracle” is made not always. The matter is that amalgamators with thermostat ?????are not calculated on the changeable water pressure and bad quality of water. Imperfection of water supply system leads to frequent breakages and even failure of such designs.
For today it is possible to consider as the most exotic models are those with a photo cell and touch management. In a design of such amalgamator the lever, which is disconnecting water, is absent, and on the case there is a small screen behind which the infra-red gauge of constant radiation, which is regulating movement of hands, is established. As soon as hands get in an operative range of a beam, it transfers a signal to the device, which supplies water.

Amalgamators (Part 1)

August 15th, 2007

Today the market of the sanitary equipment is oversaturated with various on color, the form, functional features, the price and many other parameters amalgamators. No wonder, that the unsophisticated consumer may be easily got lost among the untwisted brands, often relying at a choice of product, which is so much required for any bathroom.
However, there are a lot of technical parameters which are necessary for considering, when you are buying the amalgamator. These are operational characteristics and design.
According to the constructional features all the amalgamators can be divided into several types. Valve amalgamator with two crane-axle boxes (the handles adjusting receipt of hot and cold water) is the most popular type of amalgamators. This model is familiar to any consumer as it is one of the “simplest” models.
The second type, which has become especially popular today, is monocommand amalgamator (in another way – one-armed) cranes. This is an amalgamator with the spherical mechanism, in which the pressure of water and its temperature are adjusted by movement upwards-downwards and to the left-to the right with one handle.

My aquapark (Part 3)

August 8th, 2007

At creation of a bowl the form and the sizes of the future reservoir is defined. Various materials are being used depending on features of a site and type of a reservoir.
If there is clay the waterproof bowl can be made of it. But, despite of availability of a material, ramming of clay is a quite labor-consuming process. Besides in due course roots of plants sprout in a clay layer, destroying it.
Expenses for construction of a bowl from concrete are high, but are not always justified, especially if the prospective reservoir will borrow the small area. Concrete bowls are usually made for greater ponds of geometrical forms. It is more complex to make bowls of the wrong form. And very seldom this material is used as a box for a stream or the cascade.
Ease of installation, durability, and rather low price concern to advantages of ready plastic forms. The basic lack consists in already made forms and small depth (on the average – about 60 cm). The bowl of the future reservoir can be made of fiberglass. For this purpose dredging is being made in a ground, and then it is being covered with fiber glass and filled in with polyester pitch. Essential advantages of a similar design rely in absolute freedom in a choice of the form and the structure and high durability. However, the cost of a bowl from fiberglass is quite high. Besides for the period of hardening pitch dry weather is required.
Pump is the basic element of reservoir technical system. For example, it takes away water from the bottom pool and lifts in top in the cascade. In a pond the pump creates movement of water and sates it with oxygen.
At a choice of the pump it is necessary to remember that fragments of plants get into the open reservoir and silt is being formed at the bottom. Therefore usually use two types of pumps: or special pond pumps created for work in conditions of an artificial reservoir, or drainage, calculated on swapping of???????? soft-polluted liquids. Working elements of pumps of both types are made of high-strength stainless steel or composite materials. The electric part is reliably isolated by special pitch condensation so that it is possible to arrange pump right in the reservoir.
